Started in the year 1963 by Dr. P.G. Batla, CGP was airing at Providing Knowledge to the General Practitioners. Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners with the syllabus approved by the Medical Council of India was being provided by the College.

With changing times and the need for International exposure and recognition has made CGP collaborate with other Universities.

This MRCGP (International) from Royal College of GP’s London, Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Medicine from George Washington University, USA. Diploma in Family Medicine & Diploma in Emergency Medicine from Vinayaka Missions University, Salem are offered.

CGP conducts Annual Conference at State, Regional and National Level. An International Congress of Family Physician with colorful International faculty is conducted each year.

An International Study tour every year refreshes the members as well provide them with first hand information of the Family Doctor concept in the other countries.

Reincarnation of “FAMILY DOCTOR” the motto of CGP is pursued with all vigor by the College.

CERTIFICATE COURSE IN COMMUNITY CRITICAL CARE

Flexibility of joining any time.
Eight modules which can be completed as early as eight months but within a maximum period of 16 months all modules to be completed.
Each module on weekend of every month at TACT Academy for Clinical Training, Chennai
Out of eight modules, three modules will be on two days ( every month last Saturday & Sunday )
The other five modules will be for one day which will be on all Saturdays.

There will be a post test after each module.
To receive the completion Certificate – Candidate must complete the Post Course test and one week Clinical attachment in ICU of reputed tertiary care hospital.
